Secrets of the Sequence - Video Series on the Life Sciences

The goal of the Center for Life Sciences Education at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, is to promote scientific literacy at local, regional and national levels by:

  • increasing public awareness of the technical and bioethical issues surrounding the life sciences discoveries of the 21st century,
  • educating pre-college students about the life sciences, and
  • providing information and professional development to K-12 science teachers across the nation.

Our “Secrets of the Sequence Project” takes you and your students to laboratories where scientists are investigating fascinating questions. SOSq creates an avenue for students to learn from leading scientists and ethicists about the profound moral, ethical and legal impact of recent discoveries in the life sciences.
